Technical Installation: Simple and Easy to Connect

AGORA is very easy to install. Existing SCADA/EMS databases provide all the information needed for the internal AGORA SYSTEM database.

When the system is online, all necessary information is obtained from the SCADA/EMS system via a computer-to-computer communication link. Multiple protocols have already been implemented, including ICCP.

All displays and one-line diagrams are automatically produced and can be easily customized. The alarms and model databases are automatically generated from the SCADA/EMS once preprocessing is complete. Preprocessors exist for most SCADA/EMS vendors.

AGORA runs on RISC workstations as a stand-alone or hot- backup configuration. Existing installations include both IBM and SUN workstations running UNIX Operating system. The system can also be called from any PC or WS using a LAN and UNIX emulation under DOS or Windows.
